Pantone color of the year 2017
So fresh, so green.
Weddings this year just got a whole lot 'greener'! Pantone announced greenery the color for 2017 and we couldn't be more thrilled!
"Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade" Pantone stated. "Greenery is natures neutral. The more submerged people are in modern life, the greater their innate craving to immerse themselves in the physical beauty and inherent unity of the natural world". This lush hue can be incorporated into so many aspects of a wedding and if you are a bride on a budget this will especially win you over as greenery is always more obtainable than flowers.
For starters if you have an outdoor wedding ceremony, you allow the natural surroundings to do the work for you! You won't need much extra decor; the greenery is already in place.
Prefer indoors? Simply drape garlands around the alter and hang a canopy of greenery on each end chair down the aisle. Complete this look with large greenery centerpieces!
Choose rustic greenery bouquets and keep the boutonnière simplistic.
Adding a white flower gives it that pop to enhance the zest in the yellow-green shade.
Run the tables with strings of leaves and finish with greenery inspired table numbers.
Choosing Barbados as your destination wedding is the perfect way to incorporate the pantone theme for 2017. The island has a bountiful selection of foliage including three native palm species. As we don’t have actual seasons here, we encourage you to plan your ‘greenery’ themed wedding anytime of the year!
